Made by Google 2026 finally received its official announcement from Google. On Wednesday, August 12, this year's gathering takes place in New York City, where curtains rise on that Pixel 11 family. Interesting part is, this year's event moved up a whole week compared to last time, meaning Google walks that path of showing Pixel hardware early once again. For a second straight year its venue stays New York, with invitations arriving exactly five weeks before showtime.
Something unusual sits in its schedule too. This keynote begins at 3pm Pacific time, 6pm Eastern, considerably later than Google's familiar morning events. On its invitation Google wrote only "the next generation of Pixel", while its image shows a glimpse of a shiny gold metal frame. What that hint means, speculation runs high right now.
What's expected on stage?
9to5Google's expectation list holds four phones: Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, plus Pixel 11 Pro Fold. From wearable territory comes Pixel Watch 5, again expected in two sizes. Time has come for new Pixel Buds Pro too, though nothing about them has leaked yet.
Now to rumor's portion, which still isn't word from Google's mouth. Word is, Pixel 11's design stays nearly identical to its previous generation, its lone exception being a light indicator called "Pixel Glow". Meaning without big visual surprises, this year's real story revolves around software plus AI, Pixel's eternal home ground. One big question hangs though. Component prices keep rising worldwide, plus how much that pressure lands on Pixel 11's specifications or pricing stays today's biggest curiosity.
Its timing math deserves attention too. Samsung's Unpacked falls on July 22, with Google's gathering exactly three weeks after. Meaning this summer turns into a proper festival season for phone lovers, Samsung's foldable fleet on one side, Google's AI-packed new Pixels on another.
For anyone going back plus forth about buying a Pixel 10, advice stays simple: merely five weeks remain, waiting until August 12 is wise. Either a new Pixel 11 lands in hand, or discounts arrive on older models. Both roads reward that buyer.
