Indian smartphone maker Realme has launched a new budget 4G handset device Realme C100x. Aside from performance, the company has build this device for the user looking for a long battery life, smooth display and a durable build with an affordable price.
The phone features a massive 8,000 mAh battery, a 120Hz refresh rate, military-grade ruggedness and Android 16. So it might be an useful solution for students, tourists, delivery guys and any person who spends a long time without a charger.

The Realme C100x features a 6.8" HD+ IPS LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz for smoother scrolling and animations. It also features a 240Hz touch sampling rate, for a more responsive touch experience during gaming or browsing. Up to a maximum of 900 nits of peak brightness and Panda@MN228 glass protection. Furthermore, the display can accurately respond in wet and oily hands as well through Rain Touch Mode.
The powering part of the phone is Unisoc T7250 Octa-core processor with Mali-G57 GPU. It comes with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 memory. It will support up to 2TB of total storage with a dedicated microSD card. It also has virtual RAM expansion features for enhanced multitasking.
realme UI 7.0, which is powered by Android 16, is the operating system installed on Realme C100x. It comes with handy AI software capabilities, like AI Outdoor Mode, which automatically regulates brightness and volume in bright surroundings. Where the network is unstable, the AI Netpilot acts as a stabiliser to ensure a more consistent connection. Google Gemini and Circle to Search are built-in and can be accessed by pressing and holding the power button.

For photography it has a 50MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, while for selfie and video calling, it has 5MP front camera. There are Portrait, Night, Panorama, Dual-view Video and editing functions such as Object Eraser and Smart Image Matting.
The highlight of all is the 8,000mAh battery. Realme then offers it in a combination of 45W SuperVOOC fast charging so that users can charge faster. The handset also has 6W reverse wired charging support to enable it to charge compatible accessories or other devices. Realme claims that the battery can be used for more than seven years with over 80% of its original energy.
Another good factor is durability. The Realme C100x is designed with ArmorShell, has attained military-grade MIL-STD-810H certification and is water resistant up to IP64 grade, putting it in a class of its own. Additional features include the rear-facing Pulse Light LED notification and charging status indicator, a 3.5mm audio jack and a fingerprint sensor on the side.

The Realme C100x comes in only one variant that features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It is priced at Rs. 14,499 in India.

If you play demanding games often or require a high-speed storage, then the entry level chipset and eMMC storage might be a bit of a hindrance for you.
The Realme C100x has a good balance of performance for most typical use cases like social media, video streaming, messaging, online education, and online shopping, and also features one of the biggest batteries among its competitors at this price point.
